WTA Dubai Results & Quick Hits

  • How does Angelique Kerber solve a problem like Elina Svitolina? Well, we are going to have to wait to find out after the World No. 2 had no answer to Svitolina for the third straight time, and the second time this year. Kerber needed a medical time-out for some knee strapping but it will be on to Indian Wells for the German with some time to set herself right.
  • 2011 champion Caroline Wozniacki awaits the final, looking to become just the third multiple winner, Joining Justine Henin (4 titles) and Venus Williams (3 titles). She notched up the record of the most match wins at the tournament winning her 22nd over Anastasija Sevastova. She trails Svitolina 0-1 though with the Ukrainian looking to win the biggest title of her career, having won five International titles.
  • Both have dropped just one set on the way to the final.
  • Prediction: Svitolina in three sets.
