WTA Doha Results & Quick Hits
- More rain and more stacked schedules saw the finalists determined after playing twice on Friday.
- Second seed Karolina Pliskova first powered past Zhang Shuai in a match disrupted heavily by rain. Next up was WTA Finals champion Dominika Cibulkova who so far had never yielded to the big-hitting Czech. Cibulkova had been the luckiest of the semi-finalists, making it through on Thursday and Pliskova worked for the win as the diminutive Slovak levelled the match in the second set, before Pliskova prevailed in a nervy decider.
- Facing her will be Caroline Wozniacki who was the last to make it into the semi-final line-up after easing past qualifier Lauren Davis, before powering past Monica Puig, who had fought from a set down earlier in the day against Daria Kasatkina.
- The head to head favours the Dane – she has won all three of their previous encounters, but they have not played since 2014, when Pliskova had just broken the Top 50.
- PREDICTION: Pliskova in 3 sets.

ATP Rotterdam Results & Quick Hits
- The ‘hot-hand’ of Grigor Dimitrov was cooled by David Goffin as the Belgian scored his first win over the Bulgarian, not to mention a tiny bit of pay-back for losing out to him in the Sofia final last week. Goffin had never even won a match in Rotterdam until this year!
- It was not a great day if you were a top seed – the French contingent of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Pierre-Hugues Herbert knocked out Nos. 1 and 2 seeds Marin Cilic and Dominic Thiem respectively with No. 4 seed Tomas Berdych rounding out the semi-finals as he beat defending champion Martin Klizan.

ATP Buenos Aires Results & Quick Hits
- Top seed Kei Nishikori roared into the semi-finals, having abandoned Memphis after four straight titles for joining the Latin American ‘Golden Swing’ ahead of the US spring hard-court swing. Nishikori has really not looked back since dropping his opening set this week. He will face home-crowd favourite Carlos Berlocq for a spot in the final.
- Pablo Carreno Busta won the battle of the Spaniards, edging fifth seed Albert Ramos Vinolas in a tense three-setter and he will face Alexandr Dolgopolov, who earlier in the week ousted second seed Pablo Cuevas.

- John Isner’s wait to add the Memphis title to his American title collection will wait another year as he was edged out by compatriot Donald Young, who got his first win over the big serving Isner. He gets another American – Ryan Harrison.
- The second semi-final will be between Mikhail Kukushkin, who ousted fourth seed Steve Johnson, and one to watch will be Nikoloz Basilashvili who has been in decent form these past weeks. He put paid to second seed Ivo Karlovic this week, and toppled Dominic Thiem last week in Sofia.
