- Great Britain went clear at the top of the table in Pool C with another clean sweep over Latvia.
- Heather Watson kicked things off once more with another straight sets win over Diana Marcinkevica
- In an encounter that could have been quite tricky, Johanna Konta eased past Jelena Ostapenko
- The doubles combination of Jocelyn Rae & Laura Robson started very strongly with a bagel first set before a tie-break in the second set, before roaring through the decider to make it 6-0 so far for the Brits.
