British no. 3, Johanna Konta was the sole survivor in the first round of Qualifying Singles for Roland Garros 2013.
The teenager, ranked 168 defeated China’s Zheng SaiSai (WR: 180) in a commanding straight sets victory.
She will face Galina Voskoboeva who is seeded 10th.
Eva Birnerova def Anne Keothavong 3-6, 6-3, 6-0
After a promising start, Anne Keothavong was defeated in three sets by Eva Birnerova.
Keothavong overcame an early break to take the first set 6-3, but the momentum shifted back to the Czech who took the next two sets 3 and 0.
Sesil Karatantcheva def Tara Moore 6-3, 6-3
Tara Moore suffered a straight sets defeat at the hands of the no. 7 seed, Sesil Karatantcheva, who reached the French Open Quarter-finals in 2005.
