Joe Salisbury teamed up with American Jackson Withrow in Canada as the American hard court swing began. The Brit/American pairing were the second seeds and drew a Canadian wildcard pairing in the first round. Nicaise Muamba & Benjamin Sigouin were no match for Salisbury/Withrow as the second seeds lost only four games to progress 6-1, 6-3.

In the quarter-final the second seeds were up against Mackenzie McDonald & Roberto Quiroz. The American/Ecuadorian pairing proved a little more tricky than the first round opponents. Salisbury & Withrow were pushed closer in each set, but ultimately triumphed in straight sets 6-3, 6-4

The semi-final saw the second seeds play the third seeds. Ti Chen & Bradley Mousley, andΒ on paper should have been able to makeΒ thisΒ a tough encounter. Chen/Mousley had dominated their quarter final losing only three games, however the Brit/American were not reading the script. Salisbury & Withrow were all over the third seeds and dominated both sets to lose only four games and book the final spot 6-2, 6-2.

In the final the Brit/American were up against Marcel Felder & Go Soeda who had only played two matches and reached the final. Having been handed a walkover into the final when their semi final opponents withdrew, Felder & Soeda appeared to be the fresher at the start. The Japanese/Uruguayan team broke the second seeds to take the first set. Salisbury & Withrow however fought back to level the match as they broke Felder & Soeda. The final would be decided by a match tiebreak, first to 10 points with two points clear. The second seeds completed the win and lifted the trophy. 4-6, 6-3, 10-6.
