(2) Dominic Inglot/Eric Butorac 7-6(2) 6-2 Jan Hajek/Lukas Rosol

Dominic Inglot won his first round doubles match at Dallas Tennis Classic Challenger Tournament on Wednesday.

The British doubles specialist and his American partner, Eric Butorac, beat the Czech pairing of Jan Hajek and Lukas Rosol 7-6 6-2 in just over an hour.

The hard court tournament in Dallas has a high profile on the Challenger tour because its timing and location are ideal for players who could not qualify for or have already been knocked out of Indian Wells.

Inglot’s usual partner, Treat Huey, is enjoying a good run at Indian Wells partnering Jerzy Janowicz where they eliminated the Murray brothers earlier this week.

In Huey’s stead, Londoner Inglot has teamed up with Jamie Murray’s old partner, Eric ‘Booty’ Butorac and are second seeds in Dallas.

They overcame their opponents, both singles specialists, relatively comfortably and next play the German pairing of Andre Begemann and Martin Emmrich, ranked  66th and 54th respectively in doubles.
