PREMIER LEAGUE – As Gameweek 7 begins early once more on Friday night, who do you need in your Fantasy Premier League squads this weekend?

Kevin De Bruyne

For Gameweek 7’s first pick, Kevin De Bruyne piques our interest, as Manchester City travel to struggling Sheffield United.

As the Citizens travel across the Pennines to Yorkshire, they do so without both recognised forwards in Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero.

That leaves the onus of talisman very much in De Bruyne’s court.

The midfielder has just a single goal and assist to his name thus far this season, but the Blades could aid his resurgence.

City themselves have been far from at their best this term, and with De Bruyne still retaining spot-kick duties also, this week could be the Belgian’s chance to fill his points boots.

Harry Kane

Backing up the Belgian this week, Harry Kane is poised for another points haul in Gameweek 7.

It is now almost essential that one or either both of Kane and Son Heung-min are in our fantasy squads, and this weekend, Kane may be the one to shine.

Sitting in second spot in the points standings, the England skipper already has five goals and eight assists to his name.

As Brighton make the trip from the South coast, the Seagulls will be wary of the fact Spurs have hit double figures in goals during their last three games.

Without Lewis Dunk once more, a revitalised Kane can expose a visiting defence again who have shipped nine times in their last four outings.

Ollie Watkins

After their sterling start to the campaign, Aston Villa were sent to ground with a bump last Friday night and as they welcome Southampton to Villa Park, Ollie Watkins is a tempting option for Gameweek 7

Netting a remarkable triple against the holders Liverpool last month, Watkins’ exploits have rather been forgotten in the wake of Villa’s defeat last time out.

That however, could be about to change.

The Saints similarly to Leeds are a team who will go at opposition defences, and like Marcelo Bielsa‘s men also, also have a tendency to leak goals away from home.

Watkins has taken a back seat since his hat-trick heroics against the Reds, but Leeds could hand the striker the chance to find his mark again this weekend.

Marcus Rashford

Gameweek 7 ‘s undoubted highlight is Manchester United’s home clash with Arsenal and as the Red Devils look to continue their goal-scoring momentum, Marcus Rashford appears on the fantasy radar.

Fresh from a hat-trick off the bench against RB Leipzig in midweek, Rashford is hinting at a run of form in front of goal.

That could continue against the Gunners, and with Anthony Martial still suspended, Rashford can again torment the Arsenal back line.

Hitting a memorable brace in his Premier League debut four years ago, the forward has gone on to cause havoc for the North Londoners.

Against Leicester City last weekend, Arsenal’s familiar frailties in defence reared their head and with an ownership of less than 8% also, Rashford stands as a real differential this weekend.

Punt of the week: Branislav Ivanovic

Our wildcard of Gameweek 7 is handed out to West Brom’s Branislav Ivanovic.

After three defeats in four to signal their return to the Premier League, the Baggies are now unbeaten in two, after draws at Burnley and impressively away to Brighton last time out.

Shipping 11 goals in the opening three goals of the new season, Slaven Bilic‘s side have now conceded a lesser three times during the last 270 minutes of league gametime.

That is in no small part down to the influence of Ivanovic, who was brought in from Zenit St. Petersburg in the final days of the transfer window.

The Serbian defender was in his previous Premier League spell with Chelsea a fantasy hit with managers.

Those same temptations will come to the fore this weekend as West Brom visit Fulham, with a tight encounter on the cards.

Ivanovic on his debut against Burnley came close to netting, and with the hosts continuing to struggle from set-pieces, Ivanovic could be in business on Monday night, with the added plus of a clean sheet possibility.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 7 deadline is Friday, 18:30 UK time.
