The heavyweights will be out in force for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 19, and who better to start with than Mohamed Salah (12.5%)?

Though Liverpool remain at the summit of the league table, the holders’ advantage has been trimmed, and the Reds are without a win in three league games.

A double Gameweek then, presents the perfect opportunity to bounce back, and the Egyptian king will be keen to make an impact in GW19.

As Manchester United arrive at Anfield for the week’s marquee matchup, Salah can hit the ground running on Sunday, before another far more inviting prospect of Burnley on Merseyside arrives next Thursday.

Salah is without a goal or assist in three, but fantasy managers know not to turn their back on the Liverpool talisman.

Whilst his price-tag remains steep, it is this sort of Gameweek his 39.3% owners will be eyeing as a real difference and Salah is surely a strong contender for the captain’s armband.

Bruno Fernandes

Like his direct rival in both forms for the game on Sunday in Salah, Bruno Fernandes (11.3), will fancy his chances of a points haul in the coming days.

Drawing a blank in GW18, the Portuguese however, has scored in three of his last five, notching four goals, three assists and eight bonus points in that time.

His price continuing to rise, over half of fantasy managers own Fernandes, making him a vital component in the picture of GW19.

If the trip to Anfield does not offer the United midfielder with openings, a trip to Fulham – whilst having gone unbeaten in five themselves – should present an attacking Red Devils side ample opportunity for goals and indeed fantasy points.

Given that United have been awarded a penalty in third of league games also, Fernandes’ chances even away from open play remain strong to add to his 11 goals, eight assists and a lusty 22 bps, in GW19.

Phil Foden

Manchester City complete the heavyweight double-duty trio and having forced his way into the starting XI, Phil Foden (6.3) looks set to star in GW19.

Having netted in back-to-back games, the England progeny has grabbed maximum bonus points during the last two league games.

With both Gabriel Jesus and makeshift number nine Ferran Torres still recovering from COVID-19, and Sergio Aguero being nursed back to full fitness, Foden has taken up a more advanced role for the Citizens of late.

Kevin De Bruyne has roamed into a central role, but Foden has found himself ahead of the Belgian in the right areas, and at some 5.5 cheaper value, is becoming a huge differential.

With a home double versus Crystal Palace and Aston Villa to come this week, still only 7.8% of managers own the livewire forward.

Whilst the risk of rotation lingers, Foden is proving indispensable for the time being and a careful investment in GW19, could bring rewards at a snip.

Anwar El Ghazi

As one of City’s opponents in GW19, Aston Villa may not look the best value for points, but Anwar El Ghazi (5.8) could prove otherwise.

The Villans, just six points off the top four, still hold onto their two games in hand, and after their midweek game with Spurs was cancelled in order for players to self-isolate, a freshened-up Villa might yet bring a surprise at the Etihad.

For El Ghazi, five goals in six sees the Dutchman as one of the form players in the league at this moment, stationed on the left as part of Dean Smith‘s front three.

The forward holds holds a potential X-factor in his appeal also, having taken penalty duties from Ollie Watkins, where El Ghazi has converted Villa’s last two from the spot successfully.

An out-of-sorts Newcastle United are then the visitors to Villa Park next Saturday to complete GW19, and for managers looking to end their Gameweek on a high, El Ghazi may just bring a late flurry.

Punt of the Week: Craig Dawson

For Gameweek 19’s punt, there are a number of contenders, but Craig Dawson (4.5) appears set to be a realistic prospect for a timely points boost to our squads.

The veteran defender looks to have broken into the West Ham United starting XI in partnership with Angelo Ogbonna, and having started the last two league games, Dawson looks real value for points at both ends of the field.

With the Hammers enjoying two home games in GW19, after a run of successive clean sheets away to Southampton and their impressive victory against Everton a fortnight ago, home clashes with Burnley and West Brom look lucrative.

Holding a paltry price-tag also, Dawson’s penchant for a goal remains as strong as ever, as Stockport County will attest from last Monday night’s FA Cup encounter.

In previous seasons – as his former employers roll into east London – Dawson netted 12 goals for the Baggies in four league seasons between 2014 and 2018.

Also scoring twice for Watford last term – but without a league goal for the Irons as of yet – a further home meeting with the Clarets could see Dawson as the unlikely MVP of GW19.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 19 deadline is Saturday 11:00 UK time.
