  • Every Gameweek we pick a budget forward, midfielder and defender
  • Brighton, Crystal Palace and Burnley offer up bargain picks for Gameweek 7
PREMIER LEAGUE – With another international break almost upon us, who gets pulled from the Fantasy Premier League bargain bucket for Gameweek 7?

Neal Maupay (6.5)

To spear-head our Fantasy Premier League attack for Gameweek 7, we turn to one of the most in-form strikers during the early weeks of the season in Neal Maupay, who could be on to a winner again this weekend.

As Brighton enjoy a somewhat surprising start to the season, the Seagulls find themselves in sixth spot, just a point off the top of the standings.

Graeme Potter has rightly won many plaudits for his side’s efforts to begin the campaign, but the big reason for Brighton’s lofty perch has been their French talisman in attack.

With four goals already this term, Maupay has netted in back-to-back games, as Arsenal roll into East Sussex for GW7.

Still only retaining a relatively cheap fee at 6.5, the striker is on the books of just over 3% of FPL managers and having scored in half his games against Arsenal in the past, ticks a lot of boxes. Maupay can reward his small band of owners this weekend.

Conor Gallagher (5.7)

Filling our midfield this weekend is a player who has almost single-handedly rejuvenated the Crystal Palace attack and Conor Gallagher has finally appeared on the Britwatch radar for GW7.

The 21-year-old on-loan from Chelsea has finally burst onto the Premier League scene after an impressive loan spell at West Brom last term, and is catching the eye in Patrick Vieira‘s new era in south London.

Already with two goals and three assists to his name, the Epsom native is remains the cheapest midfield option in the current top 11 of FPL point scorers and won the crucial penalty for the Eagles during their 1-0 win last Monday night.

As an out-of-sorts Leicester City roll up to Selhurst Park this weekend, Gallagher could be a pivotal cog in the Palace machine here, and for a price-tag of less than 6.0, over 8% of his owners have sought a bargain bin option to boosts their midfields.

With a 15-point haul in GW3 to look back on, Gallagher could be a big player this weekend.

Matt Lowton (4.4)

As GW7’s most likely banker, many managers will be eyeing a short-term recruitment of a Burnley player as the Clarets welcome Norwich City to Turf Moor. Matt Lowton could be the most canny option.

Though the Lancashire side are yet to record a single clean sheet yet this season, the visiting Canaries present perhaps the best chance to remedy that statistic.

The temptation could be to opt for a player in a more offensive role given Norwich’s proclivity for shipping goals, but with the importance of the result in this game even at this early juncture, a tight game could yet emerge.

It is then that the appeal of Lowton comes in with his delivery from the flanks coming into play for the likes of Chris Wood. With an assist to his name against Leicester in GW3 close game might really bring the Burnley right-back into his own and will also open up shooting opportunities from the edge of the box – an area Lowton has operated in frequently.

With little to gamble relatively given his price, Lowton might bring a handy points boost as we go into the international break.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 7 deadline is Saturday, 11:00 UK time.
