Emmanuel Dennis (5.2)

To begin Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 6’s picks from the bargain bin, we again turn to Watford’s Emmanuel Dennis who is proving an early FPL hit.

Recruited from Club Brugge in the summer by Hornets’ boss Xisco Munoz, the Nigerian striker has begun to the fill the third striker gap in many manager’s squads during the early part of the season.

Netting a goal and an assist on his Premier League debut versus Aston Villa, Dennis grabbed his second on the road at Norwich last time out, with the home visit of Newcastle United to come this weekend, who have conceded six on the road already this campaign.

Owned now by close to 12% of managers in the game, Dennis has taken up the spot on the left of the pacy Josh King up front, allowing his improved chances of wide play also.

In the top 10 strikers for FPL points so far, Dennis’ big selling point in his still extremely cheap price-tag for one who has transitioned effortlessly into life in the Premier League. He could be in for more spoils in GW6.

Andros Townsend (5.4)

As the Rafa Benitez revolution rolls on across the other half of Merseyside, Everton have retained their goalscoring habits during the opening weeks of the season and Andros Townsend has been one of the big driving forces.

Like teammate and compatriot Demarai Gray, both Englishman have been reborn under Benitez this term, and though Gray has netted three goals to Townsend’s one to this point, the former Spurs and Crystal Palace winger has two assists, with Gray yet to provide one.

With owners flocking to recruit Gray meanwhile – now on the books of approaching 18% of managers in the game – it could now be Townsend who could becomes a real differential, owned by just 2% and cheaper by 0.4.

A blip last time out by way of a 3-0 defeat at Villa Park last weekend, it should be business as usual for the Toffees in GW6, as they welcome bottom side Norwich City to Goodison Park, whose back line has shipped 13 goals already in just five outings.

Having rediscovered his vein of still rather inconsistent form, Townsend stole the show in Everton’s comeback win versus Burnley during GW4 with a goal an assist and maximum bonus points, and is poised to be a prominent FPL figure once more this weekend.

Tino Livramento (4.2)

In defence for GW6 meanwhile, we move to the South coast and to a Southampton side that have recording back-to-back clean sheets, with Tino Livramento at the heart of their efforts.

Pulling off quite the surprise in holding free-scoring Manchester City to a goalless stalemate at the Etihad last time out, Ralph Hasenhuttl‘s men have not conceded a goal in 180 minutes, as they entertain a Wolves side who are yet to find their feet in front of goal.

In the case of full-back Livramento, the former Chelsea youth player has slotted into the Southampton set-up with aplomb, but until now has been owned by over 10% of FPL managers in the game almost exclusively down to his 4.2 fee that can fill out a squad slot.

Now however, the English starlet represents a genuine potential for consistent points, not least for GW6.

Kept busy by the attentions of Jack Grealish last weekend, on Sunday, Livramento should be afforded more space to go forward here.

Despite yet to provide much in the way of attack, Livramento could this weekend make his presence felt in terms of FPL points and fully merit his relatively lofty ownership.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 6 deadline is Saturday, 11:00 UK time.
