Mohamed Salah

Liverpool retained their six-point lead at the summit of the Premier League against Spurs, but only after a Mohamed Salah spot-kick 15 minutes from time. As the Reds travel to Villa Park for an old-fashioned classic top flight fixture, we are tipping the Egyptian to hit his straps in Gameweek 11.

Salah has scored just once in his last five league games, and despite Jurgen Klopp’s men having looked shaky on the road in recent weeks, the approach set to be utilised by Villa boss Dean Smith should play into the Reds’ hands here.

The visitors will be fresh with all their of their potent front three rested in Liverpool’s unfathomable 5-5 penalties win Arsenal in midweek, so both Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane will be raring to go also.

With both men also ones to consider for fantasy managers, we feel Salah is set to grab the spoils in rare fashion during what has been a comparatively barren spell in the last month. This could be the weekend where the Egyptian king returns to his throne.

Lewis Dunk

Brighton & Hove Albion’s back line were very much a regular fixture for fantasy managers last season, and after a relatively quiet campaign thus far for the Seagulls, Lewis Dunk appears on the radar this weekend.

As Norwich City side roll up to the AMEX Stadium this weekend, the Canaries look a very different proposition to that of a just over a month ago, having lost four of their last five Premier League games – with the goal threat of Teemu Pukki having dried up.

What is the really encouraging statistic for potential owners of Brighton defenders however, is the statistic Norwich have failed to score in their last three away games and for Dunk, his added goal threat brings the opportunity for points this Saturday.

Yet to score this term, the Brighton centre-back remains a menace from set-pieces together with partner Shane Duffy. With two assists to his name already this season, Gameweek 11 could finally see Dunk convert those to a goal against Norwich. At the very least, a clean sheet is a more than viable possibility.

Raheem Sterling

Aston Villa proved predictably plucky opposition last weekend, but still fell to a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City. As the Citizens return home in Gameweek 11, they welcome a Southampton side who shipped nine goal last Friday night to equal a Premier League record. Raheem Sterling will be licking his lips.

Having scored his first goal since the international break against the Villans, Pep Guardiola will be keen to send another message to leaders Liverpool and having already racked up eight versus Watford back in September, the Saints could be in for further misery courtesy of the England forward.

Sterling may not have been able to keep his early season goal-scoring fireworks going, but with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men likely to be showing signs of last weekend’s decimation, a trip to the Etihad is perhaps the worst place to visit with the prowling Sterling on the hunt.

In the drubbing of the Hornets, Sterling was left on the bench but should be let off the leash on Saturday. Southampton have conceded 19 goals in their last five outings; This weekend, that tally could be significantly increased.

Willian

Chelsea are starting to look quite the unit under Frank Lampard. On the back of a hugely impressive victory at Turf Moor last Saturday night, the Blues are on their travels again in Gameweek 11 as Watford lay in wait at Vicarage Road and Willian is our man who could shine.

Having returned to something close to full fitness after an early season of niggling injury, the Brazilian netted the fourth against Burnley last week having firmly pinned down his place in the West Londoners’ starting XI.

Netting his second of the season, Willian could now hit a run of form and against a Watford side who despite having drawn their last three league games, the visitΒ  of a rampant Chelsea side is something quite different.

Quique Sanchez Flores has tightened a sinking ship since his return to Hertfordshire, but it only takes one afternoon to undo a month’s hard work and Willian and Chelsea are in prime position to expose the soft Watford underbelly this wekend.

John Lundstram

As our left-field pick for the weekend, John Lundstram ticks a box. As Sheffield United and Burnley do battle in a Roses clash at Bramall Lane, a tight encounter could be in store in Yorkshire, which makes the Blades’ midfielder a serious consideration.

Sheffield United defenders have often caught Britwatch’s eye, and with Lundstram classed as a defender, a potential clean sheet is a rather enticing opportunity.

It will be however his threat of the goal-scoring variety that is most attractive on Saturday. The oft-unheralded English midfielder scored the only goal of a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace back in Gameweek 2 and a similar scoreline could be in the offing.

Likely to be a physical battle with little pockets of the space on the field, the differentials could be vital for fantasy managers, which is where Lundstram is a prime budget pick in Gameweek 11.

Premier League Gameweek 11 begins on Saturday lunchtime as AFC Bournemouth host Manchester United, kick-off 12:30pm UK time.
